Harassment is defined under New Jersey Statutes2C:33-4 and may refer to a “communication or communications anonymously or at extremely inconvenient hours, or in offensively coarse language, or any other manner likely to cause annoyance or alarm.” There must be a “purpose” to harass. Stalking is defined under New Jersey Statutes2C:12-10 and is often seen as a type of harassment. Terroristic Threats is under2C:12-3 and is also sometimes seen as a form of harassment.
